ASSESSMENT OF MISSIONARIESIt
is essential that missionaries will be well prepared before they go to
the field. The assessment of missionaries forms an important
part
of the preparation phase. The aim of the assessment procedure
is
to get a complete picture of the missionary as a person. Information
about his personality, work style, contribution in a team and his
spiritual gifts is gathered by means of different measuring
instruments. This, in combination with personal interviews
that
are focused on spiritual maturity and the person's calling, gives a
good indication of where and in what position this person can be used
by the Lord optimally.
Input on different available training possibilities that can contribute to the missionary's effective preparation, is also given. Member Care Southern Africa offers a service to churches and organisations in the assessment of missionaries. Next: Training and equipping of senders |
